Infielder Drew Cumberland landed on the disabled list after tweaking his rhomboid muscle Tuesday against Great Lakes. Cumberland was the hottest Wizard, collecting a hit in nine consecutive games. Cumberland is batting .247 with six doubles and 13 RBI. He has a team-high 12 steals.
Infielder Lance Zawadzki, who had been out with an injury to his left hand, returned to the roster. Zawadzki was originally placed on the disabled list on May 21. He is hitting .221 with seven doubles, two home runs and 16 RBI.
In another move, outfielder Robert Perry rejoined the team. A 16th round pick in the 2007 draft pick out of Long Beach State, Perry split last year between Fort Wayne, the Arizona League Padres and Lake Elsinore of the California League. The Padres promoted outfielder Brian Joynt to the Lake Elsinore.
Joynt hit .250 with one double and one RBI in three games with Fort Wayne.
