Notre Dame's back from break -- and back outside on a nice fall day preparing for Navy:
- In keeping with the kicking theme of Tuesdays, linebackers coach Brian Polian instructed the camera crews to get a wide shot of the field.
- Superfan Keith Penrod went up to fifth-year senior (and current lame duck with no bowl) John Sullivan telling him this is a "very, very important four weeks." Possibly for no player more than Sullivan, who needs to prove his shotgun snapping follies are a thing of the past otherwise it may hurt his draft stock.
- Remarkably, we haven't seen a single player ride the bikes all year.
- Wide receiver Robby Parris and sports information director Michael Bertsch had an animated discussion about St. Ignatius (Parris' high school) against St. Ed's, Ignatius' football rival.
- Field goal kicking stats: Walker -- XPT miss; XPT good; 33 yards good; 37 yards good; 37 yards good; 42 yards WAY wide left; 42 yards good; 45 yards good. Whitaker -- XPT good; 30 yards good; 40 yards short (might have been tipped); 40 yards good.

Mike:
I like the Halloween pic, but you are scaring the children!
Keep up the good work.
Any idea how many plays Barry Gallup Jr. has been in this year? I thought he was listed as a back up in the BC game, but don't remember much out of him. Also, where is DJ Hord hiding?

Dude, someone put a picture of Frodo Baggins under Rothstein's name. Not cool.
