Notre Dame continued piling up players with connections to Notre Dame or the NFL in its Class of 2008. The latest commitment is tight end Joseph Fauria, according to multiple media sources.
If the last name sounds familiar, it should. Fauria's uncle, Christian, played tight end in the NFL and for Irish head coach Charlie Weis when he was the offensive coordinator in New England.
Notre Dame now has 10 commitments, all of which won't be finalized until National Signing Day in February, when Weis will also be allowed to comment on the recruits.
Fauria, who is from Encino, Calif., was the fourth Notre Dame commitment in the past 10 days and the third in that span from California, joining the Notre Dame Sherman Oaks duo of quarterback Dayne Crist and linebacker Anthony McDonald.

Michael; Thanks for your response. I did watch the news conference on und.com & for the record you didn't apologize, but I like the way CW reponds to you. Also at your questions at the Sugar Bowl conference. Wll done. It maybe that being a Long Islander, to CW it is just a geographical extension to include you as one of his "Jersey guys."
Michael I was more tan impressed by the actions of the two young freshman, Clausen & Allen. both have only been on campus for 3+ months & yet one has the ability to be in the mix to be the leader of the offense at QB & the other has been very impressive as a RB. What is remarkable Michael is the short time, sistance from home & family + the fact as precocious freshman theyy are stepping in & competing.
