Scoreless after one period between the Komets and the Muskegon Fury, though the Komets have dominated play, outshooting the Fury 15-4.
There was an apparent goal with one second left in the period, after Mitch Woods put a rebound into the net. It was blown dead because goalie Isaac Reichmuth's mask had come off. I reviewed the replay and it was a good call. The mask was off before the puck was in and referee Bob Langdon is required to call the play dead.
Komets look very good. This game should be 4-0.
- Tonight's game will be replayed Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m. on Comcast channel 55 and Verizon channel 25.

I was watching the b2 as well, and thought that was the puck. Once the mask comes off, it is dead. Good call by Langdon. Ramsey obvioulsy made a great call in his staring goalie. Pool has a great glove. I would suggest the K's to go glove side on Issac.

24-9 shots. Mr. Cohn, get into the dressing room. Do they not realize they can go glove side?? He isn't Clayton Pool. The are the exact opposite when it comes to strengths!

What did Al do to get the boot? I'm going to guess one of the magic words? Did he atleast earn the shower and throw stuff on the ice?

If you saw the print edition today, I said Reichmuth is weak with the glove. ... I think he used the old word from Bull Durham. That's what I've heard, anyway.

What part of rule 9.5 do you and Langdon not understand?
"When a goalkeeper has lost his helmet and/or face mask AND HIS TEAM HAS POSSESSION OF THE PUCK, the play shall be stopped immediately to allow the goalkeeper the opportunity to regain his helmet and/or face mask. When the opposing team has possession of the puck, PLAY SHALL ONLY BE STOPPED IF THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE AND IMPENDING SCORING OPPORTUNITY."

See comment two posts above. It was a loose puck. You could make an argument, since it's off a rebound, that Muskegon was the closest thing to a possessor. I'd have to see the replay again, this was 7 hours ago, but it's not like there was a breakaway and his helmet came off.

Shouldn't there have been a faceoff with one second on the clock in the case that this was the correct call?
