So call me "Mr. Doesn't Know Much About Hockey" but why would he rather play in the Jr's if he could play pro hockey here? I would love to see him back in the K's jersey next year and many more years after that!
He might get more attention from NHL scouts in "Jrs" than he would in the IHL. One of the reasons, as I understood, Nick Tuzzolino didn't want to stay with the Komets last season was due to little to no scouting.
Uh. Why not go to college? Get that education and then pursue a career. I'm sure some scouts watched the frozen four. I believe he has enough talent to play NCAA hockey. I'm proud of Warner for getting his ducks in a row before pursuing his career.
Like I said before maybe if he sees some of the players from here move up he will change his mind....he's been in jr for 4 years and never made playoffs...time for a change and being part of a championship team would be a pretty good start
I think Greg nailed it. Add familiar surroundings, more people in your age bracket, scouts at pretty much every game, and the OHL being more heralded than the IHL to the list.
Is him saying he wants to go back a bad sign? What did the team do wrong that he would want to leave? Why come in the first place just to go back? We should've got someone who wanted to commit to the team. Let the attacks begin!!!!! lol.

Going back to the OHL is better for his exposure to the NHL scouts. Lets be honest, the IHL is not know for kicking out NHL talent, the OHL is.
