The honors keep rolling in. I'm an "uberblogger." Sweet.
In more important matters, is it me or is the Muskegon Fury starting to look like the old Rockford Icehogs? The Fury players should get some Emmys for all the spectacular acting and, strange thing is, the Komets are still dominating with a 2-1 lead and a 28-6 edge in the shots early in the second period of Game 3.
- Ben Smith writes about the Komets.
- Best Ice Chips comment I've seen in awhile comes from St. Chris: "Come on, it's playoff hockey, expect the unexpected. Enjoy the ride and keep the faith, if you feel you're not getting your money's worth...well I guess you're investing it in the wrong thing."
-- By Justin A. Cohn, The Journal Gazette
Strange? compare the Fury to the IceHogs? This after two Komets fought each other in game 2!!!!! When pointing a finger at someone, there are always 4 pointing back at you

Good emotion at that!!! Taking penalties are going to kill us before all is said or done though. Way to many dumb penalties. This third period could be very very exciting.

Hey Justin, why did Chaulk get a game misconduct?
Posted by: Komets Rule | April 20, 2008 at 07:58 PM
This is what I saw on b2. I don't believe he was even on the ice when a scrum accured behind the Skegy net. He came skating over and began to yell at ref. That was all I was able to see. Not a smart move. All 3 games, we have lost control at one point or the other.

Amazed Komet fan, diving is diving. I think it's bush league no matter who's doing it.

Chaulk got a game misconduct for coming on the ice during the "altercation". Not sure but I don't think that was the letter or intent of the rule. I don't even think he said a whole lot but I guess the ref chose to enforce that rule (not much of the others were followed).
We were at the game tonight. Anybody else notice the police presence in section 213? We have to have officers and ushers in our section each and every playoff game. God forbid if a word is said that should go against Muskegon. Take notice of other arena's. Pounding on the glass, horns, and yelling is permitted. We must be the only arena where "church" rules are enforced. The usher took a horn that you blow into from a fan last game. He only blew it during the scoring of the goals. We have taken "fan enforcement" to a new level. They won't even let the kids stand down on the lower level before the game to get pucks from the players during warm ups. Lets be a little more fan friendly- PLEASE!
As for the officiating tonight, is that all the better the IHL can produce? How many 4 minute roughing calls were called tonight? 38 penalties tonight- Klosowski might be as good as Gallagher. Haven't seen that call but once all year. We let the obvious go by sometimes but then we make it up with these mysterious calls.
By the way- great game. Komets played hard and smart for most of the game. If the Komets can avoid 5-3 penalties, we're okay. Somebody check Durdin for a bad X-chromosome. I think he is colorblind. Pass it to the guys in the orange! GO KOMETS

Justin, I hope you are not offended by the other so called hockey bloggers calling you names. I think they are just jealous that you have such a great following. I for one would like to thank you for all the great work and inside information you bring to the table!
Thanks Justin and GO KOMETS

I'm with ALL enforcement of rules with fans. WATCH THE GAME. Try yelling and clapping.FROM YOUR SEAT. Blowing horns, waving flags, taking pictures, etc...come on, watch the game. Let Icy take care of that annoying other stuff.

I'm with the enforcement of rules as well. Blowing horns, waving flags, taking pictures can be part of the game!. I would imagine that you want it quiet as well. ITS A HOCKEY GAME!
