I think this shows the IHL needs to do something to remain a viable league. 1 great team the K's, 5 mediocre teams who are having more troubles than just playing hockey.
Not sure, but I think something positive in the terms of expansion are needed. Teams that draw fans on a regular basis. Salary cap or no salary cap quality players and relationships to bring them in the IHL will be a key.
To many soft spots, how long will teams hang around if they are out of the play-off hunt this early.
A cakewalk for the K's, could be sour grapes for the other 5 teams

No ones out of the playoff hunt in the IHL

The K's did there homework last summer - the other teams did not.Last night there was not one fight in three games. the only chance in the playoffs is to GOON-IT UP, and that maynot even work. We can out skate- out fight-out work any team in this league, when they want to.

the amazing thing about last nights games, all three home teams drew over 3000 fans. that shows that the league is starting to work. add a couple of teams and boost up port urine and were off to the races! dont know what stats youre looking at amazed fan, but the other five teams are all within 10 points of one another making this one of the most competitve leagues for this time of the year that ive seen in a long time. sure, we are way ahead but it certainly hasnt been a cakewalk. now each of the other five have a chance to make the playoffs if they gel and play good hockey. should be interesting to see how it shakes out.

After watching 2 AHL games in the last 2 weeks, I'm happy were we are at. Those games have no flow and even though it's one teir above the NHL, only the top 3 or 4 players show that ability in each game. To many weak penailties called. For entertainment value, I have no problem with the I.

Great job Justin! I really enjoy the coverage you give the Komets and especially the audio interviews!

Wiffle will happen in time. I should be in town by 3 hopefully. If that's to late, I have cornhole practice.

Seeing 2 AHL games is not enough to judge it especially since you are probably watching it hoping you won't like it.
The AHL DOES have flow and trying to knock down the AHL to make you feel better about the IHL just isn't necessary. Someone on another thread mentioned that, and they're right on! The IHL is fine, but it was nice for someone other than me to mention that this league needs more than just one dominant team. I've been saying that all year and it does affect the entertainment value of the league.
