Well I see Legualt got put back on IR today because they had to activate Saidechv(sp). I bet Legualt has spent more than a month on IR for so called injuries..It is to bad for this Kid because he is one of the very few who hits somebody consistantly and more importantly stands in front of the net.
I couldn't agree more. I'm hoping the Franke's are trying to keep him under the rookie limit, but how much can a kid take. It has to be tough mentally. Great Article Justin. Side note: Tickets to the 100 Year Anniversary season of the Cubbies went on Sale today!!!!! Next year is here!
Friends, eh? Hmm, I'm not admitting to anything, but I think it's interesting that if someone recognized me, someone didn't say hello. In fact, no one said hello. That's OK, my two shots on goal and minus-2 rating surely humbled them.
IU Basketball no more...crawford, ellis, thomas, DJ white, mcgee and basset not practicing and supposibly will not board the bus when they go to northwestern!! even a possibility that gordon will not go either.....SCREW GREENSPAN!!! this takes any chance of IU going far in the tourney!
What Sampson did is punishable. He gets what he deserves.
But Greenspan...this is the guy that went against IU faithful and went outside of the program and University to bring in Sampson and said that he would watch him and keep him out of trouble. The problem here is Greenspan.
The players on the team should not be punished. They had nothing to do with any of this garbage...all suspensions, penalties, etc...ought to fall squarely on Sampson and Greenspan. Ban them from the NCAA for 5-10 years. Don't punish the student athelete who has zero control over any of this.
Chuckitt I would say Legualt brings more to the table than some of the other "rookie" forwards. While I like Saidechv(sp), Legualt brings more to the table IMO. We have to many of the same type of players that fit the mold of a Saidechv. But like I said before it really does not matter who is in the line-up we just keep winning
I have yet to read that those players were not gonna play tomorrow. I did read that they didn't practice today, but were present at the walk-thru this evening.
As a diehard IU fan, I hurt inside, like Jerad said, but he "cheated" so he deserves what he got. I hope that Dakich does a good job, but I can't see him being the long term solution. Dane Fife would look good on the IU bench...anyone else agree.
dakich has 10yrs head coaching experience and mccallum about that also. the players need to think about one thing, they play for iu and not sampson. if iu hadnt done something then it was a possibility that next years team could have been banned from the dance. white and gordon could care less cause they wont be there, but gotta think about the rest...back to hockey.........
I can see Fife taking over later on in his career. Rumors sworling that they will go after Thad Matta. I don't see them going after Alford after the hassle before with him. Who knows @ this point. This season had so much promise and has turned into dissapointment.
rumor has it daimon bailey was in assembly hall today talkin to those players that skipped the first practice....and still the only person left that doesnt give a crap is DJ White..if it wasn't for sampson DJ was gone this year!! and the story is McCallum is the players favorite assistant and they wanted him to take over if anything happened...i can see DJ saying goodbye to the rest of the season!! hopefully he doesnt!! he is a big asset to the team and if anyone disagrees they must not watch IU basketball
I like the IU player w/ the big crown tattoo on his neck, he's my fav. At least the followed the Memphis/Georgetowns/Syracuses of the college basketball world.
I'd fire the AD that hired the guy. He came in cheating and he left cheating, what did they expect??
Alford, Knight, Baily, Keith Smart?? Who's next, Luke Recker?
Junior, the profanity will not be allowed on this board. Luke Recker? Shame on you. Not only did he leave IU, but he also went to the worst high school in the nation. (Ended my basketball career in that gym!)
So, I am in San Antonio this weekend, and what else is there to do in the 70 degree weather than go to a hockey game? LOL
So we went to a San Antonio Rampage vs Lake Eerie Monsters game at AT&T center here. Yes it was the ever so controversial to comet fans AHL.
I must say. Other than having the San Antonio Spurs PA /Light / Sound equipment to show off their players and keep the crowd going. It was the MOST BORING hockey game I have ever watched,
I am sure it lost some of its pizazz since it wasn't "my" team. However these two teams played with NO heart until the last two minutes of the game. Rampage won 1-0.
Good and Bad
7 checks into the wall total
SLOW skating all around
Some really impressive Deke
AWESOME rampage goalie
VERY COMFY soft seats
Seats were only two or three inches above the seats in front of you
Not one fight
Very nice, thanks. Another road weekend...hope we finish strong with no injuries. Let me guess, Segal running his mouth to our big guys? I watched that donkey play last year in Knoxville during SPHL playoffs, all I can say is that he's consistant...all mouth no brains.
That would be a good one! Segal had this quote in the Muskegon paper about his fight with Legualt.
That was the case in a fight against Legault, where the Komet tough guy knocked Segal out with a solid punch.
"He caught me on the chin," said Segal, who is expected to be in the lineup this weekend when the Fury host Fort Wayne tonight and Kalamazoo on Saturday. "I took a little nap. Those things happen."
He actually was pretty funny down on the bench when I was giving the team some verbal jabs. I like him. Reminds me of a Willis without the scoring punch.
Well I see Legualt got put back on IR today because they had to activate Saidechv(sp). I bet Legualt has spent more than a month on IR for so called injuries..It is to bad for this Kid because he is one of the very few who hits somebody consistantly and more importantly stands in front of the net.

yeh but at least hes got a job. of all our forwards he is last on the list. he will be a better player for it if he sticks it out.

Justin...friends say you were spotted playing some pick-up hockey at the "MAC" this morning. True? Or just mistaken ID?

Posted by: Justin Cohn | February 22, 2008 at 08:22 PM
Anyone watching B2? How did Henley fare in his fight?
Posted by: Jungle Monkey | February 22, 2008 at 08:55 PM
From what Chaser said, it sounded like he won, but who knows. Hope he did
Posted by: Danny | February 22, 2008 at 09:01 PM
Im watching the B2 feed and the fight was not much at all. Neither one could through any good one's.

A very good fight last night D.J King & Parros.
Posted by: mightbite | February 23, 2008 at 12:55 PM
Missed the radio broadcast of last nights game in Muskegon. Can any blogger out there give me a good feel for how the game flowed?
Posted by: St.Christopher | February 23, 2008 at 01:04 PM
Nice Homco!! I love going to different arenas seeing hockey/baseball games. I'm sure the facilities were top notch, but the game seemed lacking.
St. Chris, I attempted B2 and listened to the game. Very light game, no physical play, Henley fought, but didn't throw any punches for either two.
A Musky fan said that the K's dominated the game.

Cohn...how can you let Jerad talk about DeKalb like that? Don't you know a DeKalb grad?
Posted by: nathan | February 23, 2008 at 10:17 PM
Looks like Bloomington has our number lately. Reiter stinks the joint up in an overtime loss. Looks like the D didn't do much to help.
