Justin, any updates on the game. Stayed in Warsaw tonight. Saw where King Kong got the boot and it appears that it was getting pretty physical.

Justin Cohn

Very physical game. Very chippy. Generals, as usual, were celebrating every fight (Call it the Ryan Jorde effect). Three power play goals. Bertram got tossed for third man in. Then Aquino fought, rather well compared to his last one, and he celebrated to kind of show up the Generals, who are getting smoked. Very chippy game, though.

Hey Jerad hope it wasn't a certain buffet that kept you home, I myself had to attend my kid's indoor soccer game. Go figure I would miss a good game.

Hey Justin any fight video?

did anyone else check out the kzoo-p huron gamesheet? langdon calls only 4 penalties! talk about a ref letting the boys play and not slowing the game down! he's a keeper!

Jerad Shaw

Nah, I just didn't have time to make it up tonight. Sounds like I should have.

What did Henley do to get booted?

Justin Cohn

No video. Henley was pissed about an interference call and then skated to the penalty box and acted like a kid who lost his favorite transformer, screaming at the ref, slamming the door like four times. It was a bit much; serve your 2 minutes and move on.

Agreed Justin, no clue why he had to take it that far last night.

QC sux, I think it's great that you put that up Justin. They averaged 1,000 more fans in Omaha last year, they should of stayed put...screw 'em. I hope they fail.

I think the thing you needed to add for those who didn't read the QC article is that the owners said they aren't losing as much money in the AHL as they did in the UHL. That's one of the big arguemnts that seem to take place. Granted they also said the AHL budget is higher. BUt the are still confident they made the right decision.

They lost money last year because they weren't very good...

Now they're not very good, have been stripped of their Mallard identity, took down all those banners, and basically started over.

ST prices go up next year, they're hopin that they get the same core group back so they can break even. We'll see I guess...I personally don't think those people are smart enough to notice a difference of leagues, they are probably seeing some great hockey.

Well I am suprised to hear the Mallards lost money last season. However, if you were losing money in a 200k salary cap league, why would you think you could make money in the AHL? I know the flames (parent team) will pay for majority of the cost, but still. doesn't make sense.

Omaha averaged 3,500 last year and QC is averaging almost 3,400 this year. They'll probably exceed Omaha by the end of the season.

This game has more hits in it...good hits...than any UHL game I had ever seen. This is the type of game this league was hoping for and hopefully will get more of. Those of you that missed it, missed the most physical game (hits, intensity, and SPEED) of the year. I am starting to become a believer in this league. I really thought it was going be more of that sewer that was the UHL.

Hockey girl

I do agree It is really stupid when they can't even serve 2 minutes. Instead they have to make our team look bad and act like a 5 year old who didnl't get the bag of Cookies he wanted!!!!

ALso congrats to Reiter I really think he should be the team MVP, he has really just worked hard and earned it!!!

I'm glad you're aboard TGP!! It's not bad now, and we can only hope that it gets better!

Like Marvin said, they're more AHL teams around the area and you have to play hard to get noticed. See the many IHL call-ups this year: Clark PH, Curddy, Fox, Westgarth, Dolsen, and more.

This league has plenty of potential, it's all about getting the players involved.
