Pointstreak will record it in whatever way the scorer puts it in Pointstreak as. In Fort Wayne, a penalty shot always gets recorded as even strength, even if one team is short (it's a one-on-one goal being the rationale).

Apparently there's a disagreement; the Wings say it's en even-strength goal. I can't see why, so I'm going to go with the K's ruling until the league says something more official.

It should be counted as a shorthanded goal.

Remember Thanksgiving Night game? PoHo was on the penalty kill and was awarded a penalty shot, which they did score on. And it was announced as a shorthanded goal.
