MUSKEGON, Mich. -- Greetings from snowy Muskegon, where the Komets will be trying to erase the bad memories of Friday's 5-1 loss at Flint, Mich. The Komets will go with goaltender Kevin Reiter, who was yanked after allowing two goals on three shots at Flint.
Make sure you check out Bob Chase's interview between the second and third periods on WOWO, 1190 AM, with forward Olivier Legault. Due to a case of mistaken identity, Legault was questioned by police before today's game, as he was walking back to the hotel from Quiznos Subs. Good thing he had his identification with him and, presumably, the police weren't Fury fans.
Meanwhile, the Komets will again be without forwards David Hukalo (flu) and Mathieu Curadeau, who was called up by Worcester of the American Hockey League.

David Segal set him up!

Justin,
Curadeau was cut.

Until he rejoins the team, he's still called up in my book.
Posted by: Justin Cohn | January 26, 2008 at 07:15 PM
Ha! Thats funny about Legault! Hopefully the Komets come out flying tonight! Thanks for the reports on the road Justin and keep up the good work!

any idea of what they thought he may have done??? im sensing van drunen and bruce had something to do with this.
So, since we got ran out of Flint last night that means tonight we dish out the pain in the net and with the fists.
GO KOMETS

Posted by: JW | January 26, 2008 at 07:27 PM
Yep, I went ahead and got the b2, lets hope for a good one
Posted by: Brandon | January 26, 2008 at 07:33 PM
what did u think of that tilt brandon?
Posted by: JW | January 26, 2008 at 07:41 PM
Henley took care of Kovy with no problem, I dont think Cowboy even threw a punch. Clear win for Henley...I wouldn't be surprised to see them go again
Posted by: Brandon | January 26, 2008 at 07:43 PM
yeah true that.
Posted by: JW | January 26, 2008 at 07:44 PM
Reynolds with a good hard working goal and then Musky answers right back with a goal from Plante, 1-1
Posted by: Brandon | January 26, 2008 at 07:45 PM
Not sure what they thought he did. He had just bought a phone card at the mall, then went to Quiznos and was walking back to hotel, so somebody must have robbed something and they thought it was him.

That aboy Terry!
Posted by: kyle hunt | January 26, 2008 at 08:03 PM
hey brandon how about those animations they show after a goal or before a powerplay....hahaha
JC, no Gonzo journalism in Muskegon, hehe
Posted by: JW | January 26, 2008 at 08:06 PM
Justin...How in the world do you call a double minor for interference? I mean sure i'm glad it's for us but still...
Posted by: Brandon | January 26, 2008 at 08:09 PM
Haha yeah those animations are great...it's nice of them to give US the animations for our goals
Posted by: Brandon | January 26, 2008 at 08:09 PM
2:00 interference, 2:00 unsportsmanlike.
Posted by: kyle hunt | January 26, 2008 at 08:12 PM
hahahahahaha i guess B2 still uses Microsoft Paint that comes with every computer and a lil Powerpoint action to concoct that amazing stuff
Posted by: JW | January 26, 2008 at 08:12 PM
OK enough of the animations show me that sliding goal again pleaseeeeeeee!!!!!!! that was nice... great night to B2
Posted by: JW | January 26, 2008 at 08:21 PM
Maybe I missed something but how was that a goal?
Posted by: Brandon | January 26, 2008 at 08:24 PM
Score please....?
Posted by: Hoss | January 26, 2008 at 08:25 PM
Honestly I didnt see anything that made me think it WASNT a goal. It happened quick. Maybe Reiter thought it was just going to be a routine pick up and the guy just swatted it..lets tell B2 we will pay them $7 a game if they get instant replay. It was hard to tell man.
Posted by: JW | January 26, 2008 at 08:29 PM
3-3 hoss. 1st intermission
Posted by: JW | January 26, 2008 at 08:30 PM
Looked to me like it was kicked in but then again i'm on high on cold medicine

Reiter out; Boucher in.
Posted by: Justin Cohn | January 26, 2008 at 08:43 PM
Really tired of watching Durdin cough up the puck. Let him go!!!
Posted by: New Komet Fan | January 26, 2008 at 08:47 PM
Reiter hurt?
Posted by: kyle hunt | January 26, 2008 at 08:50 PM
Don't know. Don't think so. But don't know.
Posted by: Justin Cohn | January 26, 2008 at 08:51 PM
Bring back Woggie!!!!
Posted by: Brandon | January 26, 2008 at 08:51 PM
Oh, he's still here. On "injured reserve."
Posted by: Justin Cohn | January 26, 2008 at 08:55 PM
Just sittin here thinking about new komet fans post and whether or not I would cut him loose and Chaser says Durdin throws it away, HA!
Posted by: kyle hunt | January 26, 2008 at 08:55 PM
Hey, if you're a new Komets fan, how can you be that sick of Durdin? lol
Posted by: Justin Cohn | January 26, 2008 at 08:55 PM
Thanks Kyle!! Durdin just drives me nuts as much as he gives away the puck. Now that we have Bert, Hansen, Henley, Guy, Warner and even Pence (I guess) I just don't see why we don't get rid of him and see if we can get another forward in case what happened with Curadeau this week happens again.

What the heck is going on in Muskegon? Sounds like the wheels have fallen off all the sudden? They remove Reiter and we lose the lead...fast.
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | January 26, 2008 at 09:01 PM
Cohny, You need to ask Woggie if he wants to go to Wal-Mart
Posted by: Brandon | January 26, 2008 at 09:01 PM
New Komet Fan, Durdin coughs it up ALOT!
Posted by: kyle hunt | January 26, 2008 at 09:03 PM
JC
I'm a new fan but am a season ticket holder now and have missed 1 home game since Dec. of '06, so there!! :) I also B2 every away game so have witnessed him couging it up routinely.
Posted by: New Komet Fan | January 26, 2008 at 09:03 PM
So you're a sophomore Komet fan, not a new one. :)
Posted by: Justin Cohn | January 26, 2008 at 09:07 PM
Justin,
What did you see with that goal at the end of 2nd that Collins scored?
Posted by: JW | January 26, 2008 at 09:08 PM
After thinking about it Durdin does pretty well away from the puck, blocking shots taking the puck away etc.
Posted by: kyle hunt | January 26, 2008 at 09:09 PM
Excellent point JC! Never did like being a Freshmen
Posted by: Sophomore Komet Fan | January 26, 2008 at 09:09 PM
Kyle you might have a small point there, but I bet he gives it up way more times in very vulnerable areas of our own zone than he takes away from opponents
Posted by: New Komet Fan | January 26, 2008 at 09:11 PM
I would have to agree, I notice the give aways more than the takes.
Posted by: kyle hunt | January 26, 2008 at 09:13 PM
Hey I think Berkebile is the new Hawthorne/Gallagher. 21 penalties in the 2nd period in the Kal/Flint game
Posted by: New Komet Fan | January 26, 2008 at 09:17 PM
Puke-a-pile, Hawthorne, Gallagher, Searle....aren't they the same guy with a different number on their back? I hope that is the first thing the fix in this league before we start to think about expansion. A new crop of refs that are young, and looking to be as good as they can be would be nice. Not guys that like to call every little nickel and dimer and become the spotlight of the games.
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | January 26, 2008 at 09:24 PM
You mean the one at the end of the first? Well, since I have obstructed view seats here, I didn't get a good look. I saw a replay and that didn't show me much either. May have been kicked in, but the K's probably got what they deserved for that defense.
Posted by: Justin Cohn | January 26, 2008 at 09:38 PM
is Sims trigger happy now pulling Reiter now that Boucher back in the lineup???
Posted by: joehockeyman | January 26, 2008 at 09:44 PM
I don't know. Maybe Reiter is hurt; I'll find out after the game. I think he's just not looking himself and with Boucher playing well ...
Posted by: Justin Cohn | January 26, 2008 at 09:45 PM
You do not give up 2 short handed goals and win the game. Please Komets prove me wrong.
