When is Sim's going to do something about Reiters poor play, why does he come out of the net all the time, install an invisible fense in the net so when he skates out he will remember to stay in the net. Has everybody noticed when Reiter plays we always play caught up be have to come back from 3,4,5,6 goals now. Why dont we play a goalie with a better record/save average/ all around play.....Hello Sim's do something.

I AGREE!!!!!!

Sims is running an every other game system with his net minders right now. Hopefully it is only a matter of time before he realizes that Boucher is the better goaltender.

BINGO!!!
Does anyone know boucher w/l record and Reiters w/l record against K-wings

The K's are lacking a consistant effort night in and night out. On a couple of goals the K's did not clear a rebound or failed to clear the front of the net. Give Legault a regular shift. #1 star tonight. We have some guys willing to take the body and others who like to avoid it. Bottom line tonight we got out played!!! So the blame should be cast from the top to the bottom.

According to the IHL's website:
Reiter is now 1-1-1-0 and Boucher is 3-0-0-0.

Thanks for posting that video. Advantage- Woods.
Im not quite sold on the goalie change yet. But a few more weeks like the past 2 and I will be on board for it. It seems like they are starting to slowly hand it over to Boucher. So maybe you guys will get what you want soon.
And lets bow to the hockey gods and ask that they not take Aquino from us this holiday season!!

Lytwyn never had a chance against woods. Woods simply dominated him.
Also I agree about Boucher being the No. 1 goalie.

I'd have to really break it down, but my feeling is that Reiter has been going against better teams. I could be wrong, though. I will check when I get time.

The only thing positive about Reiter's adventures to the blue line tonight was the increase in alcohol sales. There were several times that there were two K-Zoo players behind him. My fave was when he dropped his stick on the high side of the circle. WOW!
It was great to see Olivier Legault getting the ice time. Well desereved and it payed off. Nick Goal... Would have liked to seen BIG BERT finish Bootland off.
Strong performance by Mathieu Curadeau. Taken the man to the boards. Good job!
I think Durdin was -5 on the night. Ouch. His game continues to slide while Warner played very strong.
Then there's Hawthorn. What a terd. I would like to know what our record is when he officiates. 4 out of 50? He kills us every time. There oughta be a law.
Merry Christmas everyone. go komets.

I take it back; it's been pretty even, except Reiter has played all but one game against PH.

Waterboy is our man in the pipes for sure. Reiter would be a nice back-up.
Legault must find a regular shift. He plays hard and hits everything. He got how many shifts tonight? 8-10 total and everytime he was on the ice for the most part he was in the middle of a goal, assist, or making things happen.
Aquino is the best player in this league...Curadeau might be #2. Curadeau is the best all-around player I have seen in a long time. He his awesome defensively, he is one of the better if not best body-checkers, and he scores. What would it take to get those 2 guys on the some line with Hukalo or Legault? That would be killer.
Marchant played much better tonight than I have seen before. He actually had fire, he threw his body around, he played like he had a chip on his shoulder.
I can't figure out Durdin? Can anyone else? Why isn't he better than what he is showing us? He looks like he should be a good player. Is it bad luck?
Shafronov looks like he has his game legs back and is skating well. Drouin should just be a defenseman because he isn't much of a forward right now.
The first period we looked asleep, then we started hitting everything and looked like a team again. Sparked by the Terry Marchant slash at mid-ice and then Legault going to the net and Terry knocking it home. Just too little too late, and sorry to say this, our goalie couldn't keep us in it tonight. He needs an anchor in the crease so he will stay put. Yikes....he drives me crazy.

He gives us all something to yell at, "Get back in there!!!!"

And by the way, Kudos to Jerad Shaw for not getting a Game Misconduct tonight....LOL
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | December 22, 2007 at 12:02 AM
Thanks Hit!!! It toke alot for me not to drop the gloves with Campbell after he was blowing kisses at my girl. :) He was actually alot of fun to go at it with. I think we both had fun!!!
A couple thoughts on tonights game. The Komets have seemed to start out slow in the last 3 games I have been to. We can't afford to come out slow, and expect to fight back in every game. I know that professional hockey is alot different then the sports I played when I was an athlete, but during their pre game warm up there is alot of laughing and tom foolary. Maybe that is the way like focus on going to battle, but with all these slow starts, maybe there should be some change in preperation.
Marchant and Warner were very impressive tonight. Hitting and hustling all over the ice. Durdin showed a physical presences I wasn't expecting to see as well. If the Komets show up in the first 20 minutes of that game, they win by a sizeable margin.
You can't blame a couple of those goals on Rieter. I believe it was the fourth goal. That guy had no angle at the net and snuck it through. Yes he plays outside of his net, but when he was winning games and shutting people out, everyone on here was happy.
They can still salvage a 4 point weekend and be sitting good. It is only middle of December. Alot of time to work!!
It was great to meet Wing tonight. Thanks for coming up and introducing yourself! Make sure you are not a stranger!!! Hopefully the B2 is up and working tomorrow night!!

Great to meet you to Jerad and your girlfriend. I hope to see you guys at some more games. I get a kick out of how you can get under the skin of the other teams players. Maybe you could offer your skills and teach some of our players to do the same and get their guys off their game.

people need to get off reiter. he is a wondering goalie before he got here and thats exactly what we need to remember. he plays the angles, sometimes those types of goalies will get burned, you just have to hope its not a game changing burn. the problem last night wasnt the goalie but dmen and forwards who wouldnt or couldnt keep the wings away fromthe net. a couple of the goals the wings just kept up the pressure until they finaly put one thru. if the ks would have laid a few bodies out then the zone would have been cleared and no goals would happen!
Posted by: chuckitt | December 22, 2007 at 11:20 AM
A wondering goalie??? I'd buy a wandering goalie maybe. He wanders too darn far away from the goal for my taste.
If he would remember he is a goalie and not just another defenseman then maybe we wouldn't rag on him so much.

I too think that going to the side boards 10 times a game is too much. Last night he drops his stick at the top of the face-off circle and fumbles it as K-zoo is heading to the net. I said it early on this season, he is more lucky than good some nights. And other nights he is good and unlucky. If he weren't so dangerous, he would not get so much grief. He is a talented goalie. He just scares everyone to death.
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | December 22, 2007 at 11:35 PM
Hit, I remember you saying that, and you are 100% correct. At the same time you said that, there were people wanting to give him the key to the city. He is a professional goaltender and knows how he feels comfortable. If he can't do his job in the end, someone will figure that out. Until then, let him wonder out of the net. Let him play the puck off the boards. As a goalie, you need to feel comfortable in your surroundings. I for one, want him to play outside of the crease if that is where he is comfortable!!! Call me crazy, and that would probably be true!!!!
