According to Brendan Savage's blog at The Flint Journal, former Detroit Red Wings star Darren McCarty will join the Flint Generals sometime soon. Click here to see the story.
And with that, I'm sure young enforcers around the league will begin salivating at a chance to prove their toughness. But let's not forget, McCarty was a very skilled forward in the NHL, too, and I could see him putting up some monster points at this level.
Either way, this will be cool.

McCarty to IHL, that is freaking awesome. McCarty has been one of my favorite Red Wing players. Now that I live close to Flint I mighr have to see him.
