Fort Wayne's Guy Dupuis was selected as the International Hockey League's Defenseman of the Week, after tallying three points and a plus-4 rating in three games. Forward Luciano Aquino, who scored one goal and five points in three games, won Rookie of the Week.

I do not think there is any type of deal with Aquino to be called up (at least i hope there isn't). Justin can we get this clarified if there is an actual deal that Luciano could get called up.

Oh and they should just get rid of the rookie of the week award and just call it the Aquino award because his face is going to be in that spot all year long! :)

He is the property of the NY Islanders. He could and most likely will get a call up. If he doesn't, whoever is watching their talent in the Minors, is stupid, or hasn't a clue. This kid is heads and shoulders above the talent in this league. Who is better than him right now?

Who will be the roster cut or cuts? Anyone have a guess? Will it be 1, 2, or 3 guys gone? I say stay young at all costs. Don't waive a young guy with talent, hustle, and quicks to keep an older, slower, lazy player. Kukulka must stay. Woods must stay. I even lean towards keeping Sessa. You let him go, he will come back to haunt you on Flint, Muskegon, or K-Zoo in a heart-beat.

I am afraid that Legault is in trouble. I like him alot, but can we keep him when coach plays him 1 shift a game? He will be another guy that turns up on another IHL roster that will haunt us.

Whether your name is Rob Guinn or Guy Dupuis, when you put up 224pts in the last 7 years as a defenseman, that is pretty good career. The hatred towards Guinn has been well documented by the rank and file (total population, 4) on this blog for 3 years now. It's stale. I guess moving on with your lives and showing just a little class is out of the question?

Why are you so negative towards Henley? He is a sound d-man. He plays his position well. He can score within the right system. He is physical. He is huge. He sticks up for his teammates. He is a crowd favorite. Even K-Zoo fans were asking me when he was coming back because he is fun to watch. They agree he adds to the entertainment as you aren't sure what might happen next. He is a definite plus for our team no matter how you look at it. You seem to have hatred for him...Population of 1 or 2 depending on the true alias of ABEATENHORSE.

I have absolutely no ill feelings towards Henley at all. I love the fact we got him back and cannot wait to see him again this season.
I agree with everything you said except for the fact he can score in the right system. Thats a stretch but its your opinion.

People are not coming to the MCC to see Henley play his position well or make a tape to tape pass. They want to see hits and fights out of him. He is already penciled in to fight Segal and Ewasko this weekend and as we move on down the schedule, the dance card will be filled. People are being unrealistic and that is unfortunate.

Outside of him playing some sound defense, the one thing I am hoping his presence does for this team right now is provide a spark and re-ignite the physical play that dominiated the early portion of the season.

poor Segal is going to need someone to save him if he and Henley tussle. Henley/Ewasko sounds like fun! But, from what I heard on the channel 57 replay of the Kzoo game, Henley wants Willis pretty bad. Cant wait for that one!!

Yep....more intrested in seeing KK Henley gel with one or more of the lines and special teams rather than police the ice right now. Besides, Bert's doing a fine job as an ice cop.

Fights last for 30 seconds, I want to see Henley come in and start hitting/checking. Get the teams off their game by knocking the crap out of them. This is more beneficial to the team then a fight or two. Plus, it's contagious throughout the whole team and the locker-room.

Henley=good player...not great...could maybe become great. hating Guinn is wrong...hating anyone is really wrong. Guinn was not any worse than Richardsons' buddy last year who played every once in awhile really well and other times was unnoticeable. Cut him some slack...he is doing something most all of us wish we could do. Also Henley is like Tyler Willis from K-zoo. I love watching Willis play because he starts a lot of stuff and can actually play hockey. When he is missing the games start to look more like Port Huron games. He is like Danny Steward used to be for us. I might be a Komets fan but when I go to K-zoo I cheer for Willis to because he adds color to the game.

I know fans in K-zoo, Muskegon, Flint, and Port Huron who used to go to games when the hockey was decent, but they too are saying the league is crap. Like some of you said, it's because I inherited all my money, or lived in the arrogant suburbs of Detroit, or if the Blackhawks did not "own" the Red Wings. Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons rule. Now I know it has been looked down on about talking about but charlie brought it back up about the Komets not being in the AHL.

I want to take a poll. I do not want extra gab about the topic, I just want simple Yes or No's. If the Komets were to move to The AHL and say ticket prices went up $3.50 dollars for each level. Would you still go to all of the games/the same amount you already go to?
