Congrats to both! Shows how good the Komets will be on any given night.

Off topic, but here is a good read about Jeff Zehr of the Icehawks.

This will be the only time I will root for a player of another team to score any PP Goals.

Transactions today:
Nick Boucher (G) Signed to 14-day PTO
Bobby Kukulka (RW) Activated from 7-day IR
*Travis Granbois (RW) Placed on waivers
Posted by: Ex-STH | November 02, 2007 at 05:34 PM
Wow...
Granbois was placed on waivers? That is surprising to me. He was a high draft pick for the K's this summer. I thought he had some promise. I hope this guy doesn't come back and haunt us. I am not trying to start some crap or anything, but I can think of at least 2 other guys I'd let go before him...
Wow!!!
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | November 02, 2007 at 06:31 PM
what does PTO mean?
i can't believe that he didn't even get to play a game. im with you hit i could think of some others as well.

PTO=Player Try-out
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | November 02, 2007 at 06:55 PM
I am not exactly sure why you would do a 14-day PTO rather than just sign a guy. It must have to do with contracts and how much money a guy would make. The way players get waived when they have a contract...what is the difference? Anyone know for sure?
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | November 02, 2007 at 06:56 PM
Did Chase just say this is our first meeting with PH this season because the only time we met them, we beat them 4-0 in the pre-season?
Posted by: Ex-STH | November 02, 2007 at 07:33 PM
someone better tell mr franky that the komets need to add some big tough guys because if we set the tone early with a fight no way that hurons score first.
Posted by: ABEATENHORSE | November 02, 2007 at 07:43 PM
Lost in space. You still gotta love the guy. Even though I hate his commentary in the mornings. Stick to sports Chaser. He shouldn't comment on politics, economy, or jobs. He sounds bad when he does. Retired autoworkers have to hate his stance he takes on the UAW and such...
Go Komets.
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | November 02, 2007 at 07:43 PM
Mr. Franky? Who is that? Is he related to Mr. Coney?
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | November 02, 2007 at 07:49 PM
mr franky is the guy who signs the players. i am very upset with him because the games first period is half over and we let in a goal and nobody dropped the gloves to stand up for us. this is not hockey. dont he know that us fans want tough rough hockey. i could care less what the score is as long as the komets win and i see blood before i leave the stadium

Churubusco has a 10-6 halftime lead over Adams Central right now..great game..got the Komets on the internet and the busco game on the radio..
Posted by: Mark | November 02, 2007 at 08:13 PM
yes after the goal if henley was in there he would have sent a message to the huron team and cleaned one of there clocks. then they would have been afraid to get near our net and score again.
Posted by: ABEATENHORSE | November 02, 2007 at 08:13 PM
You obviously haven't been around long enough to understand the game. You don't go after a guy because he scored..
Posted by: Mark | November 02, 2007 at 08:17 PM
"ABEATENKOMETWARRIOR?" MAN!
Go away MAN....errrr.....WOMAN?

Mark...I think we might have Komet Warrior or maybe his brother for all I know.
ABH...have you seen The Chief at any local diners lately? Was he eating cheeseburgers with Robin Big Snake?

I thought Granbois played well in the preseason and I'm surprised he didn't get a chance during the season.
Posted by: Junior | November 02, 2007 at 08:20 PM

Wanna bet the "Horse" is still in middle school?
Posted by: Hoss | November 02, 2007 at 08:30 PM
1069? They could have played this game at McMillen tonight. That is awful. Looks like the IceHawk fans are taking to their team nicely.
I like Kevin Hanson...can someone explain why he is on our Powerplay Unit? He is not a very good offensive defenseman.
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | November 02, 2007 at 08:32 PM
bucko im 27! sorry you guys are happy with this no tough team. mr franky promised us lots of fights. if morency were here we would be tough. why dont they sign danny stewart or some great player like that.
Posted by: ABEATENHORSE | November 02, 2007 at 08:33 PM

3-0 Port Urine. The unlucky #35 is in net tonight. I like the lucky one alot better.
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | November 02, 2007 at 08:38 PM
they need to start a fight. a tough team would protect the net better.
Posted by: ABEATENHORSE | November 02, 2007 at 08:40 PM
Did you say that with or without the slobber?
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | November 02, 2007 at 08:40 PM
You gotta be kidding...
Mr FRANKE didn't promise us alot of fighting, its quite obvious you haven't been around long enough to understand the game.
Posted by: Mark | November 02, 2007 at 08:43 PM
HS-
Hansen has some offensive skill, but, if Shirokov was in the lineup, Hansen wouldn't be on PP unit..i wouldn't think...
Posted by: Mark | November 02, 2007 at 08:45 PM
I guess so. I would almost put an extra forward out there with Guy on the point. We had PP chances early and now we are paying for those lost chances.
Posted by: Hit Somebody!!! | November 02, 2007 at 08:51 PM
i agree..but who would you put out there..
Busco is 2 minutes from a sectional championship..
Posted by: Mark | November 02, 2007 at 09:27 PM

stead of worryin about me worry that our team got no toughness and dont fight enough. franky should know what us fans want in a hockey team and he sure dropped the fryin pan on this one.
