In search of Kelly Perrault

ROCKFORD, Ill. -- Oh, what the Komets wouldn't give to have a Kelly Perrault right now. He was a star for the Komets when they won their Colonial Cup and they could use that type of player right now.

Fort Wayne cannot function on the power play -- yes, some calls have finally started going their way -- and that's really hurting them. They need to more effectively get the puck up ice and into the offensive zone, because they're just toying with the puck right now.

But more than anything, here's the problem I see with Fort Wayne: They have absolutely no traffic in front of the net. Nothing there. How do you expect to get scoring chances or wreak any sort of havoc without that?

Well, Komets trail 1-0 late in the second period.

Hit Somebody!!!

First 2 shifts of the 2nd and two hits by Rockford where guys left their feet to hit the Komets and no call. Do you think Pascal or Henley would get away with those hits?

What I'm been asking/saying ALL YEAR LONG! You have your D-men sitting back shooting the puck, why not put someone on net each side of the net? They do it in the NHL all the time, in fact that's how Buffalo tied it up with just seconds to go in the third tonight to take it to OT.

Oh well, they dug their grave down 3-1 games now--their hole to get out of. I stated this in the Chicago series, if the Komets don't get back on form Rockford will eat them alive. They WERE there game 1, they lost it and don't seem interested in getting it back.

just got back from rockford, what a long trip. we really got hosed again, go figure. the game wasn't as bad as it sounded on the score board. the guys do need to get in front of the net more, hit more, and start standing their man up at the blue line, instead of letting them in. i think the guys still have the heart and desire to win this. it's hard when you spend about 6 min on 5 on 3 bs calls. i was proud of them for only giving up 1 goal. that game should have gone into ot. either way, its over and u cant get it back BUT we have 3 more games 2 on home ice, these boys CAN DO THIS!!!! we'll be there sat and sun in rockford and then tues at home cheering them on!!!!
i know hogs are fat, but they have NOT sung yet!!!!

GO KOMETS!!! WE BELIEVE IN YOU!!!!
