The Komets left two players off their playoff roster -- defenseman Mike Dombkiewicz, who has a back injury anyway, and center Scott Seney. Seney was picked up by the Chicago Hounds in the waiver draft, so he will take on the Komets in the first round of the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Chicago will have a goaltending change. They picked up Dave Lemanowicz from Elmira and released Brendan Cuthbert, which is notable because Cuthbert played more down the stretch. I'm not sure who will start for the Hounds in the playoffs, but I would guess it'll be Marty Magers.
I'm not surprised Seney was the guy the Komets let go, especially after seeing J.F. Labarre and Arthur Kiyaga play so well at Kalamazoo, Mich., on Saturday. But here's a question: Will we see Brent Henley anytime soon? I'm guessing they should stick with the existing lineup, at least until they lose a game or two, which I don't think will be in this round.

Cuthbert played a lot because Magers was injured. I think it was an even/up swap...neither seems better than the other IMO.

Henley should play right away. He is definitely one of our top 6 defensemen.

If you look at the Games played Magers hasnt played against the Komets since his Altercation with Morency. He was goaltender of the week for week ending Sunday March 25th. We played them on that Sunday and he rode the pine. Kinda an interesting situation. Will be awaiting that decision for Friday night.

Henley should play and I agree he is one of our top 6 Defensemen. My question can you dress 7 defensemen and 9 forwards? If so then I would dress 7 d-men with AJ being a guy you could swing each way.

Based on the way AJ has been playing lately, I would definitely start Henley instead. Brent has been sorely missed. He is a big part of this team and he needs to be on the ice, not sitting on the bench or sitting in the stands. Bring back Henley!!!

Tough to see anybody go. I would like to see the UHL expand the roster for the playoffs, but good luck to Scott (actually not that much as you now play for the Hounds) and I hope Domber gets healthy.
The realsing of Cuthbert surprises me to as I thought he did real well against the Komets most of the time.

I hope if Henley is having any health problems they keep him back for the second and third rounds where they will definately need him. Why would you take a chance on injury when we already know how Rockford/QC/K-zoo and Muskegon play?
