“Actions of this nature will not be tolerated in this league,” stated Richard Brosal, UHL President/CEO. “We can accept hard-hitting and toughness within the realm of play, but these actions went beyond those boundaries. Safety of players is very important and we do not want that compromised. These suspensions and fines send the message that this type of behavior is unacceptable in the UHL.”
I'm okay with this ruling.

Nice Justin, I was just reading that as you were posting it. I went to the uhl webpage and read that stuff. The good news is that no Komets got a suspension and none of them should have. Laroque was doing the linesmans job of separating a lot of stuff and supposedly did the job in the locker room too. I am happy that those dumb a**es got what they deserved and I hope they got the message. It gives me hope that maybe, just maybe there will be a "HOCKEY" game played in Fort Wayne on the 22nd and Elmira soon after that. Suspensions probably even could have been longer after watching that footage. Also thoughts on penalties to the officiating (Mondalek) for using his usual great tactics of officiating. Mike Mondalek please feel free to respond with anything you can say to justify your performance and "control" of those two games. Thanks Mike. GO Komets beat the Wolves and Wings before the Jackals come back.

I was kind of hoping punishment would be a little more harsh. I'm suprised Komets didnt get any suspensions. Hopefully this will be enough to show the league that this behaviour will not be tolerated.

The league office dropped the ball here. A season ending ban of Tidball would have gone a long way to cleaning up the league by sending a message to other teams not to bother bringing in this type of player. This is a non union league with little form of an appeal process. If Mr Brosal had said Tidball was finished, that would have been it.

With the amount the guys make, which isn't much. I think a 6 game suspension is huge.

If Brosal had said Tidball was done for the year, is there an appeals process for the UHL?
