Why would the Franke's make that kind of provision in someone's contract, espicially (sp) because of how heavy our schedule is that time of year Maybe that's why morency has been resting. I just don't understand why we would need a second line forward that bad.

David

Why is Pascal a scratch tonight? Any word?? I am sure they will not tell, if he is out for awhile we need to bring a enforcer type.

Justin Cohn

Well, I'm sure he said "the only way I'm coming to Fort Wayne is if I can get these days off." ... Not easy to get a player of that caliber, so they felt they had to do it. I do know that his family is not in Fort Wayne, unlike some of the other top players, so they asked him to make a bit of a sacrifice there by coming out of senior hockey. But, you're correct, it can hurt a team dynamic, especially if it's one of your leaders. All I can say is, I wouldn't want to leave my wife and kids for 8-9 months.

Justin Cohn

I think he's a healthy scratch. No Frankes heere though to ask tonight.

Nothing wrong with that provision if it is agreed to at signing. Rather give him the time off than make him stay and either risk losing the signing or having his head elsewhere during the holidays because he is being kept from his family. As far as Pascal / head games / enforcer there are no head games. You don't play well you get benched. Down the road you get another chance. That isn't head games that is coaching/team management. As far as the constant demand for an "enforcer" there is not going to be a goon signing in Fort Wayne. Just because a player may get cut down the road doesn't mean that you replace him with a cement head.
It is very possible Pascal is not fully recovered from his injuries which is contributing to his sluggish play. He has the tools. For some reason it has not come together this season.

Yes and that is why the beat down happen in Elmira...There wasn't to many K's who wanted to get involved in the malee while Hansen was having his lunch handed to him. Now he is out for ? amount of time all because nobody step into his resuce.

Hit Somebody!!!

Funny thing about this whole thing is...Hansen was the only guy who consistantly would back-up his teammates and was the only guy giving that physical presence for the first 15 games. He took the body often and stepped in when guys were cheapshotted. Then he gets beaten half to death and only Goodwin was willing to skate over after it was about over. Just is kind of odd.

Goneau might be a better player than he seems, he just doesn't stand out too much on the ice. He never is that guy you recognize doing anything spectacular. Ruid is the closest guy to that type of player. I just think he lacks a good center to get him set-up to score. I would like to see Richardson on his line feeding him the puck. Bogdan needs to learn to pass it every now and again too.
