Latos update

Pitcher Mat Latos had a game of catch in the outfield prior to the second game against Dayton Sunday. Latos, the No. 3 prospect in San Diego’s organization according to Baseball America, has been on the disabled list since May 22 with a left intercostal strain. No timetable has been established for his return.

“He’s coming along,” Wizards manager Doug Dascenzo said. “I think he’s going to do a little bullpen work and maybe some simulated stuff. Maybe we’ll see him in the near future.”
