Your Daily Bracket! March 5
Notre Dame plays later tonight, but barring a loss over St. John's, it shouldn't alter the Irish's seeding either way.
No one has really updated brackets yet today -- this, by the way, might be the last day without any shifting as conference tournaments begin heating up. On the Bracket Project, only two of the mock-ups updated since March 1st have the Irish as anything other than a 4 or 5 seed.
Bryce's Bracket Predictions -- and mind you, Bryce is clearly a Notre Dame fan -- has Notre Dame as a No. 3 seed. On the low end, a bracketeer named Mike, from Mike On Sports, has the Irish as a No. 6 seed in Anaheim playing Southern Illinois with a potential second-round game against Stanford.
Other than that, 4's and 5's everywhere.
In the world of The Jerome, we had our first scare as Coastal Carolina threated High Point in the Big South. But Arizona Reid, the Big South Player of the Year, saved us with a late jumper to move the Panthers to the Big South semifinals against Winthrop on Thursday. The Atlantic Sun, Patriot and Sun Belt tournaments all have action tonight. Important games for us include Belmont-Campbell in the A-Sun and Holy Cross-American in the Patriot (which should be a very good game).
Meanwhile, we'll be at Rob Kurz Day, otherwise known at Notre Dame-St. John's.
