We here at Insights admit sleep comes more as a luxury these days, not because of Notre Dame's bounce-around-the-Midwest travel but more due to Championship Week being here, otherwise known as the greatest stretch of the year (Conference championships, NCAA tournament, The Masters).
Hopefully you remember "The Jerome" contest from last season -- if you don't, we'll refresh your memory tomorrow along with our first round of selections -- but that kicks off this week for us. We highly encourage those out there to start their own "Jerome" pools, if for nothing else it'll help you pick your NCAA brackets.
And on to those crazy bracketologists and what they have to say today.
Notre Dame is still holding at a No. 4 seed in the Bracket Project's overall composite along with Connecticut, Indiana and Purdue. Bracketology guru Joe Lunardi at ESPN also has the Irish as a No. 4 seed in the South -- this time in Tampa playing No. 13 Massachusetts with a potential second-round game against No. 5 Vanderbilt or No. 12 Maryland.
The Hoops Report has Notre Dame as the No. 4 in the Midwest with a first-round game against Boise State (anyone else rather see that game played in football? In Boise? Yep, us too.). Potential second-round matchup could be No. 5 Michigan State or No. 12 Arizona.
