Television station KHOU is reporting the University of Houston is down to two potential candidates for its vacant head coaching position -- Notre Dame's Michael Haywood and former Houston coach Jack Pardee.
Haywood, currently Notre Dame's offensive coordinator, is a Houston native and Irish coach Charlie Weis has spoken with Houston's Athletic Director.
Pardee, 71, has been fairly open with the Houston media about the position, even outlining a potential staff. Houston athletic director Dave Maggard, according to the Houston Chronicle, has interviewed potential staff members given by both candidates, as well.
Haywood and Pardee -- who it seems would like to hire former Houston quarterback and Cincinnati Bengal David Klingler as his offensive coordinator -- are both trying to replace Art Briles, who left for Baylor.

I was wondering if you had heard of a junior defensive end from Charlotte, NC named Tucker Windle. He starts both ways and was the defensive M.V.P. in last weeks state 3AA championship. He is 6-3 225 lbs. and attends Catholic High School. This was Catholics fourth consecutive trip to the state finals.
