Breaking Down The Numbers, Notre Dame Men's Hoops

The NCAA statistics are out and Notre Dame is among the Top 50 in multiple categories as a team. As players, only one is a statistical leader:
The list:
Individual:
Junior guard Kyle McAlarney:  32nd in three-pointers per game (3.3), tied with Deonta Vaughn from Cincinnati; 23rd in three-point percentage (48.9), tied with Jamal Shuler from VCU. Utah State's Jaycee Carroll in 21st at 49.1 percent.

Team:

  • Tied for 50th in scoring defense at 60.6 points a game with Delaware State and UT-Arlington.
  • Tied for 27th in scoring margin at plus-17.7 with Davidson.
  • Tied for 15th in three-point percentage at 43.4 percent with Pacific
  • Tied for 24th in rebound margin at plus-8.7 with Kansas State
  • Eighth in assists with 19.7
  • Tied for 31st in turnovers with 12.7 with Cal Poly, UW-Milwaukee and Bowling Green
  • 10th in fouls with 14.4
  • Eighth in assist-to-turnover ratio with plus-1.55
