Breaking Down The Numbers, Notre Dame Women's Hoops

Notre Dame's women's basketball team litters the Top 50 in a bunch of statistical categories, both individually and as a team. It shows, as the Irish have played a much higher tempo of basketball this year.
Individual:

  • Devereaux Peters is 29th in blocks per game with 2.4
  • Ashley Barlow is tied for 32nd in free throw percentage with Army's Alex McGuire at 92.0 percent.
  • Charel Allen is 14th in assist-to-turnover ratio at plus-2.78
  • Tulyah Gaines is 21st in assist-to-turnover ratio at plus-2.4

Team:

  • Third in scoring offense at 83.9 points
  • 29th in scoring defense at 53.7 points allowed
  • Sixth in scoring margin at plus-30.1 points
  • 11th in field goal percentage at 48.6
  • Tied for 27th in field goal percentage defense with Texas and UC Davis at 34.3
  • Tied for ninth in assists with Arizona State at 18.4
  • 21st in steals with 12.7
  • Second in turnovers at 12.1
  • Second in assist-to-turnover ratio at plus-1.52
