An updated depth chart sent out and some changes on it, including a new starting quarterback, running back and wide receiver:
- As mentioned before, junior Evan Sharpley is now the No. 1 quarterback, followed by freshman Jimmy Clausen.
- At the "X" receiver, freshman Duval Kamara is now listed as the starter, followed by former starter George West and then D.J. Hord.
- At right guard, Eric Olsen is backed up by Dan Wenger.
- At the "Z" receiver, sophomore Robby Parris is the new starter, followed by junior David Grimes and freshman Golden Tate. Barry Gallup's one week appearance on the depth chart has ended.
- At the halfback spot, the new starter is Travis Thomas OR Armando Allen OR Junior Jabbie OR Robert Hughes. James Aldridge, the incumbent, is doubtful for Saturday with a high ankle sprain.
- Freshman Smith Brian Smith is listed as the primary outside linebacker backup to John Ryan.

- Morrice Richardson is the primary backup to Kerry Neal at the other outside linebacker.

You can see how the defense is forming nicely under Corwin. Even though we're 1-6, I'm always excited to see what the defense can do. The offense seems to be getting better (slowly), but the running game is non-existent. I truly believe the IRISH can keep it close again, but fall short in the second half due to the lack of playmaking abilities by the offense. CW said they are "all over" recruiting (offense). I can only hope he's right.

Holy Blistering Claussen Pickles! Here's trusting Sharpley will have a good showing at the USC game! And truly hoping a good offensive line shows up.
