Both good and bad for Notre Dame in the first quarter. The good is that it is only 6-0. It could have been worse as BC chose to go for it on 4th and 9 instead of trying the field goal. The Irish defense is also playing well, bending but not breaking.
The bad: James Aldridge appears to be at least dinged up (but he's walking around) and the Irish offense is still a stagnant bunch that has yet to go downfield. That won't get it done.
Freshman Robert Hughes, who didn't play against UCLA, replaced Aldridge.
