Happy Monday and Labor Day to you. Greetings from Washington, D.C., where Insights high-tailed it for two days before heading back to the Notre Dame universe on Tuesday. It's mailbag time again here at Insights, where we take your comments, criticisms and e-mails and answer them or give them props in this space. Questions about anything Notre Dame, football, basketball, other college sports or anything else are welcome and applicable. Has there been any changes in the uniforms since Charlie Weis came to ND?

We haven't seen any, although the green uniforms Weis has might be a darker hue than in prior years. It'll be interesting to see if ND goes with a Kelly Green for USC this year.

We here at Insights care. Plus, Seth Meyers was in town for the Notre Dame game -- so it is applicable. And there is nothing wrong with a little TMZ. It'd be better, though, if Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan showed up to a game. That'd be much more exciting.

Yep, that was me. Whenever Weis says Michael, or Mike, most times it will be me. And as far as me disappearing again -- that won't happen until May, at least.

We're looking for more questions, still -- and I'm sure there are a lot that readers have after the Georgia Tech game. We'll be back later today with our weekly Top 25 (we're waiting for the Clemson-Florida State game to end).

Why when ND only needs 1 or 2 yds-does CW go with(and He is a good back but not very fast) Thomas and He is not good at following His blocking(if He has any).

enuf of this kind of football--last year when He did have the horses He would not throw the ball ddown the field and He almost hated to have Brady throw the ball to the "baseball player".

hey mike-

I'm pretty sure Charlie revealed in the offseason that ND would wear throwback-style green jerseys this USC game to commemorate the 1977 championship team's 30th anniversary. Given the team's showing on Saturday I'm not looking forward to this...and neither as my wallet, as I'm sure they'll be so sweet I'll have to buy a replica.

You have an interesting site here, despite the unintelligent comments and mailbag letters. I'll try to shoot you some occasionally.
