Hand Arraignment Set

The arraignment date of suspended defensive lineman Derrell Hand has been set.

Hand, who was arrested last week on a charge of soliciting a prostitute, is scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 16, according to St. Joseph County prosecutor's office spokeswoman Catherine Wilson.

Wilson said it has not been decided if Hand would be eligible for a pre-trial diversion program like Notre Dame point guard Kyle McAlarney was after a marijuana possession arrest in Dec. 2006.
