Jackson Not Out For Year

Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis shot down a report Tuesday that sophomore wide receiver Richard Jackson suffered a season-ending injury to his hand, as Blue and Gold Illustrated reported Monday.

"That's news to me," Weis said. "He has a soft cast on his one hand, but he's been practicing. If I needed him, I'd use him."

Jackson was not listed among Notre Dame's top seven receivers on its depth chart.
