Hand Suspended Three Games

Junior nose tackle Derrell Hand has been reinstated by the school and promptly suspended three games by Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis.

Weis said Hand will use the time to re-acclimate himself to playing football. He is practicing with the team -- yesterday and today he'll be in shorts followed by two days in shoulder pads and then on to full pads.

But Weis said he won't play for at least the first three games.
