Samardzija's First Start

As flurries fall in Fort Wayne today, Jeff Samardzija is relaxing down south, ready to make his first start of the season for High Class A Daytona at 7 tonight.

He's apparently all the buzz at one of the nation's Spring Break capitals, already having a story about him in the local paper. If you want to listen to his start, click on the Daytona Cubs' site and then on the radio link on the right side.

Samardzija doesn't say much about it on his blog, but says he'll be back Monday with a full report. And he wishes everyone a Happy Easter, you know, if you celebrate it.

We may have a reader spy at the game as well, but we haven't gotten 100 percent confirmation he'll be there. If he is, he said he'd get back to us with how the former Notre Dame wideout looked. If you're going to be at the game, also feel free to chime in with your thoughts as well.
