Russell Carter Night 1 at Portsmouth

Russell Carter had a tiny bit of revenge on a much smaller scale during his first game at the Portsmouth Invitational, a camp for NBA hopefuls.

When his Holiday Inn-Portsmouth team beat the Tidewater Sealants, 110-71, Carter was in the starting lineup as was former Winthrop center Craig Bradshaw.

While neither player is attached to their school basketball-wise, it probably made for an interesting first game for the Paulsboro, N.J. native. Carter scored 14 points on 6 of 12 shooting, grabbing four rebounds, three steals and having five assists. The bad of Carter's night -- four turnovers. He did all of it in 18 minutes, second fewest on Holiday Inn despite his starting role.

As for Bradshaw, who torched Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, he had 13 points and seven rebounds on 6 of 17 shooting in 28 minutes.

The Invitational continues Thursday.
