Blue Second Drive

Armando Allen looks like he fits in. Two straight carries to open the drive and his body, as we said all spring, isn't freshman-like.

Bad news for Notre Dame. On an Allen run, John Sullivan went down in a large amount of pain clutching his right leg. Could be a knee or an ankle, but it doesn't look good. There are a bunch of trainers around him now along with tight end John Carlson. Binocular whiz Tim Prister said the trainers looked at his right ankle and he is walking gingerly to the sidelines.

Not good for Notre Dame. Northwestern transfer Thomas Bemenderfer replaced him at center. Ara gets creative, too, as he calls a fumblerooski with Bemenderfer carrying the ball.
