Now that Notre Dame's opponent is set -- Syracuse -- let's talk a little bit about the Orange's new uniforms, sponsored by Nike.
They were big talk after the Orange's first-round Big East Tournament win over Connecticut, and the reaction was up-and-down.
"The jerseys need to be a little looser," said Syracuse center Darryl Watkins. "I'm not too big on the tight stuff."
Sophomore guard Eric Devendorf had more praise for the uniforms -- at least the white ones. Now the orange ones the Orange might display tomorrow against Notre Dame he isn't a fan of.
"We looked good, I know that," Devendorf said. "Besides that, it wasn't a factor.
"I like them. The orange ones are ugly, though. The orange ones are ugly. You ain't going to like them."
Then, of course, there is Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim, who was asked about the tighter threads at the end of his post-game news conference.
"You know, I don't pay much attention to the uniforms," Boeheim said.
To which star guard Demetris Nichols responded: "He doesn't care. He's been wearing the same thing for 30 years. He doesn't care."
"I think I've actually seen this style once before a long time ago," Boeheim said. "The players like them. They look good, I think. But I'm not really involved with worrying about the uniforms too much."
