Another Rankings Monday...with a surprise
We thought Notre Dame would tumble out of the Top 25 polls after being upset at South Florida on Saturday night. Apparently, the coaches either thought it was an aberration or weren't paying attention. The Irish dropped to No. 21 in the USA Today/ESPN coaches' poll and the Big East picked up a fourth poll member, too, as Georgetown entered the rankings at No. 23.
The Irish did drop out of the Associated Press media poll, now at No. 28. They were one of four teams to drop out of the poll, while Big East foe Georgetown entered the AP poll.
And the people at The Bracket Project, fast becoming a must-check for us, have Notre Dame as a No. 7 seed based on compilations from pundits.
The Notre Dame men's hockey team is another ranking worth mentioning, as the Irish have become the nation's top-ranked team by at least one poll.
