- Never knew this before: During home weeks, the offense wears blue during practice. During away weeks, it wears white. It is all based off of what color they'll wear Saturday.
- D.J. Hord was still on the bike, this time joined by junior wide receiver Brandon Erickson.
- Both John Latina and Michael Haywood went up to speak with guard Dan Santucci during drills. Haywood was saying something about it being "his" week.
- Did you know a billboard promoting Indiana football sits a block from Notre Dame's campus. That's a good marketing strategy.
- Tight ends coach Bernie Parmalee said to John Carlson and Marcus Freeman: "I hope you two are ready to work today."
- Freshman center Dan Wenger's cast is smaller -- and it is now white instead of black. He was also participating in drills.
- Fullback Asaph Schwapp struggled to get through the Powerblast -- a structure built to help running backs maintain balance and proper ball control while being prodded with padded arms. During one of the reps, Haywood told him to do it again.
- While Schwapp struggled, freshman Munir Prince also had issues with it. He fell going through it every time and Haywood got on him as well.
- Apparently injured freshman running back James Aldridge has picked up a nickname -- "Nutrasweet." Not sure why. Aldridge is still participating in drills on a limited basis and doesn't look to be full speed yet.
We'll have more later.
