Thursday's Practice Observations

Just a few quick observations:
  • Students are piling onto campus again. Classes start next week.
  • The women's soccer team played an exhibition behind Cartier Field during practice, interspersing music and other distractions in inadvertently.
  • The same crew of people -- Triple H (Ryan Harris, D.J. Hord and Derrell Hand) and defensive back Tim Kenney -- were riding the bike during part of the media portion of practice.
  • Freshman Paddy Mullen continued working with the tight ends and is listed as a tight end on the new roster.
  • Scouts from the Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys were spotted at practice.
  • Quarterbacks coach Peter Vaas was yelling at freshman quarterback Zach Frazer to "get his butt down" during an agility drill.

That's all we got for today. It was hotter than it has been outside, but practice continues. Talk with y'all -- I'm practicing the Southern dialect for Georgia Tech -- after interviews.
