Game 1, Friday, at Memorial Coliseum, 8 p.m.
Game 2, Saturday, at Port Huron, 7:30 p.m.
Game 3, Sunday, at the Coliseum, 6 p.m.
Game 4, May 7, at Port Huron, 7 p.m.
Game 5, May 8, at the Coliseum, 7:30 p.m.*
Game 6, May 10, at Port Huron, 7:30 p.m.*
Game 7, May 12, at the Coliseum, 7:30 p.m.*
* If necessary

I see this schedule as a blessing. We dominated all season on back to back to back games. The team is full of energy and we should see a great showing. My pick to click in the finals is Durdin. His passing has been sharp and his scoring is catching up. Beware of Dale Jrs. old number.

And you thought the drives to and from Muskegon were bad. LOL
Conley, you made a NASCAR reference, you are no longer existant to me. LOL
They're still turning left!!!
Posted by: Homco | April 28, 2008 at 02:49 PM
I've been hearing this Durdin song and dance for too long to get suckered into the hype now. Not a terribly friendly schedule for fans looking to travel. Maybe Port Urine can squeek one out so I can see the clinching game in the Jungle. Wednesday travel isn't an option.

I have to watch something during the summer. Aka NASCAR. The Ks will win it at home like the bulls of old. Who wants to win a ship on the road? A lot sweeter in front of home crowd. I just wonder if they will have any followers come down to the fort Friday or any game for that matter?
Posted by: Conley | April 28, 2008 at 03:05 PM
They have fans?? Can't tell from their attendence.
Posted by: Wingmnn | April 28, 2008 at 03:11 PM
I bet there will be more Komet fans then Hawk fans at the game Sat. I wish I could go but my kid has soccer both Sat and Sun.
Posted by: Wingmnn | April 28, 2008 at 03:13 PM
I have no doubt that there will be more of us then them on sat. Especially if we get these busses together and make it easier for everyone!!
Posted by: Homco | April 28, 2008 at 03:15 PM
Cohn, you should ride the bus with the fans. I bet you could get some good interviews, and quotes for a pretty fun article!
Posted by: Homco | April 28, 2008 at 03:16 PM
Ok. Enough talk. We need some action with this bus trip thing. If I had the connections I would set it all up for us but being in Warsaw it is not possible. Sounds like we would have enough for two buses now so who is going to take this by the horns and Git R Dun?
Posted by: Conley | April 28, 2008 at 03:20 PM
I am going on Wednesday in Port Huron. Due to my stupid work schedule, it is really the only game I will be able to catch.
Posted by: Charlie Crawford | April 28, 2008 at 03:24 PM
My wife and I are going on Saturday with some others. We will go to game 4 if someone is up 3-0 and we will go to game 6 if there is one.
Port Huron pulled almost 2,000 fans in game 5 against Flint. Hopefully they can pull that on Saturday plus about 500 Komet fans.
Posted by: Shawn | April 28, 2008 at 04:22 PM
How many does their arena seat?
Posted by: Charlie Crawford | April 28, 2008 at 04:34 PM
3,300 is memory serves me correctly
Posted by: Brandon | April 28, 2008 at 04:39 PM
I'm looking at the Coliseum schedule, and I can't see what would keep a hockey game from being played on Sat, May 3. Their's a Wizards game (at 4pm at the stadium) and this Vera Bradley thing in the Expo center, so traffic would be a pain, but I don't see where the arena is being used. Can anyone enlighten me? I think this back and forth business is stupid.
Posted by: Rob | April 28, 2008 at 04:47 PM
St. Francis commencement. Duh. Didn't see it right away. Sorry. But I still hate this back and forth garbage.
Posted by: Roa | April 28, 2008 at 04:48 PM
Please get bus going=or have to rake leaves at the lake. I don't see anything on Snowball=to fight King-Kong HENLEY.
Posted by: mightbite | April 28, 2008 at 04:57 PM
Puckit was saying something about having one 25 per person or something. Can anyone contact him?
Posted by: Andy | April 28, 2008 at 05:12 PM
vera bradley giant sale+crazed women= a big day for the MC. its one of the larger events of its kind at the expo center.
Posted by: JW | April 28, 2008 at 05:18 PM
I thought the Komets used to have a fan bus. What happened? Come on front office we are there for you all year. Be there for us for 2 games. We would still pay but you get the buses.
Posted by: Conley | April 28, 2008 at 06:09 PM
the bus is really nice nicer than what we would normally drive we can only get about 50 to 55 people though but im excited!!! :)
Posted by: morency fan | April 28, 2008 at 06:30 PM
So where is the bus talk?
Posted by: FWKRTJ | April 28, 2008 at 07:17 PM

So, would the bus be able to make a stop near Waterloo on I-69 for a couple bloggers coming from a Wedding?
Posted by: FWKRTJ | April 28, 2008 at 07:23 PM

Posted by: Bob | April 28, 2008 at 07:56 PM

so I'm confused...how many buses are going up...are 2 different people doing two buses
Posted by: Mark | April 28, 2008 at 08:15 PM
Will there be a bus for game 6 if it takes that long? I can't make it this Saturday but next week I'm free and a co-worker and I were talking about going. It would be nice if neither of us had to drive! :)
Posted by: FiveMinuteMajor | April 28, 2008 at 08:17 PM
Don't let PH's attendance fool you. The place only seats around 3,200 and they had around 2,500 for the OT clincher against Flint.
They don't have to pay rent if they have over 2,000. Wonder why the number was 1,989 or something like that the other day. Hmmmm, makes you wonder why they would make another go up in PH considering that the town screws 'em over like that.
I'm glad that Port Huron made it, get the fans back in the stands.
Posted by: Junior | April 28, 2008 at 08:51 PM
Well, whoever is doing this bus email me the details and how much and I wil book 2 seats.

Can't wati!!

Do the K's still have an official fan club? Seems like when I was growing up the fan club would always set up a couple of bus trips a year. Who should we be directing all of our questions about the bus trip to and can you put up some contact info for us? I'd hate to have a couple of different people setting up buses and the experience be so bad for the people setting it up that they would not do it again.

Same here: kwyork@verizon.net
Thanks!

I have heard that the Port Huron Booster Club is organizing a bus to come to town Friday night.
Posted by: Go Komets! | April 28, 2008 at 09:54 PM
5 to 6 people want to go on the bus. I left my email on different post but here it is.

The Komets used to have a Fan Club....When they did organize a bus trip, they were kind of overpriced and this was when a gallon of unleaded was about $1.15 to $1.25!
I believe that the team had the fan club dissolved several years ago.
Posted by: Bob | April 28, 2008 at 10:29 PM
Fan clubs are much easier to deal with now in the age of the internet, they should start one up again
Posted by: Andy | April 28, 2008 at 10:36 PM
Ok sorry it took me awhile but YES i do have a bus(american heritage)i booked only one cause i wasn't sure of the turnout.More fans in our sect. were interested than i thought so tomorrow i will post how many are availible. Its 35$ a seat and admission both, the bus will leave meijers on lima rd. at noon sat. and make a pickup in auburn walmart at 12:30.You can bring coolers with food and drinks, sorry but no alcohol on the bus only when you get there(parking lot and game). The bus will make a stop halfway there for a stretch and some food.Turn out sounds better than i thought so if we play next weekend could possibly get 2.
Posted by: puckit | April 28, 2008 at 10:54 PM
Oh i did look for a fan club to help but couldn't find any so if you make the trip wecome to the club, this is a start, with the turnouts on these away games i can't believe we don't still have one.Does anyone know what happened to it.Justin you are wecome on the bus sounds like you have enough fans that want you to go.
Posted by: puckit | April 28, 2008 at 11:00 PM
Puckit, nice to hear that you got a bus. My wife and I may follow you up to the game. What section did you get the tickets?
Posted by: Shawn | April 28, 2008 at 11:03 PM
Puckit, the reason there is no fan club is a long and complicated story. The cliff notes are:
1-Franke's don't want a "Booster" Club.
2-Many failed attempts, hard to get support.
3-Komets have best marketing department in league, not much for a fan club to do other than road trips.
4-Lack of leadership to attempt another club.
Posted by: Shawn | April 28, 2008 at 11:06 PM
Thanks shawn,I don't have time for a club, but maybe can help in feature road games if things go smooth.I know someone with bus company so it helps, cause the drive home, well kinda sucks sometimes on those long away trips if some of you know what i mean.
Posted by: puckit | April 28, 2008 at 11:41 PM
So, how do we determine who gets on the bus, is it first come first serve..whats the deal..
Posted by: Mark | April 28, 2008 at 11:42 PM
Sorry, yes i'll post how many seats are availible and money gets the seat,no save me seat and i'll pay you.I'll post where you can go buy the seats, best i can do on spur of the moment.Didn't plan till today cause after the drive home sat. and the gas$ i knew i didn't want to drive if i didn't have to.
Posted by: puckit | April 28, 2008 at 11:51 PM
Oh one more important note it is non-refundable after you pay but someone can take your place no problem.
Posted by: puckit | April 29, 2008 at 12:06 AM
So the bus will be leaving Auburn at 12:30? Kind of early isn't it?
I'd reserve a couple seats (actually probably had about 4-5) but I don't think I could get there in time seeing as my mom's wedding is at 10:30 an hour west of Auburn.
Guess we might have to just drive up afterall.
Is there anything planned for Wednesday?
