Freedom

lol . . . :)

VexedTechie

Ladies, ladies...as God, I can only do so much...like everything.

Maybe I'll go to Hell and pay my buddy Lucifer a visit.

What you don't realize, Happy, is that this wasn't a doing of The Emperor, but a direct result of my Supreme power.

...or Stacy reads her own blog, one of the two.

FirstDown

Vex, I know how we got the new set..... and I am positive your supreme power had nothing to do with it. LOL!!!

Thanks to my messenger that talked to Stacy this weekend at the ballgame.

And, Thanks Stacy for doing it!

Stacy,

You getting any rumors about Fort Wayne being woo'ed by the new "Indoor Football League" (the new league coming out of the merging of the UIF and Intense Football League's)? Honestly, they seem like the most stable of the indoor leagues (IFL, CIFL, AIFA) for a good/solid ownership group to be in.

Honestly, that is really the key more than the league, although a "sketchy league" (like the NIFL was eventually) will attract more sketchy teams, which hurts the good teams/markets. But, good team ownership will usually make the team survive even a bad league.

Don't see how any league other than the CIFL makes any sense for Fort Wayne, unless the current CIFL teams go along for the ride. Too much travel in any other league.

Atomic

No fans...no money. NO matter the league.

jboss

Anybody know what the new office number is since the old is disconnected? Is there a new office number? Is there an office? I've been contacted a few times by people raising money for not for profit organizations looking for donations.

FirstDown

Got to have money to donate. The Freedom needs to keep every dime possible.

Freedom

Hey JBoss, The office and phone numbers are dead . . .
Bill or Mark can be reached by calling their cell phones.

Freedom

Jboss, where are you at with project "OHIO" you talked about? Still in the planning stages? Up and running? Just curious . . .

Reggie Hammond, New Sheriff

With phone numbers being disconnected and season ticket sales yet to be announced and still deciding on the league Fort Wayne will be in, it sounds like the Freedom is well on its way for the 2010-2011 season.

FirstDown

Reggie, you never did answer the question from our previous blog..... How many season tickets have you owned in the past and how many are you intending to purchase if the team gets off the ground?

Reggie Hammond, New Sheriff

Why do you care how many season tickets I get? If it were a respectable product, I would be interested in getting some tickets. But it surely doesn't sound like it is going to happen which is sad when a town like this could support it.

FirstDown

Why does it matter? It is quite simple, if you have no involvement with this team financially (by purchasing tickets) or work for the team, then you have no merit with any of your comments. On July 21, you posted “When do season tickets go on sale. Can't wait to see how many people get theirs early!” I figured that meant that I would see you in line.

You have always been quick to point out everyone’s mistakes. I simply want proof that you have some sort of involvement with the team at some point in the last 5 years. And…. going to a couple games when is convenient doesn’t count.

I’m starting to notice a pattern with you. Every time you get backed into the corner or asked something directly, you change the subject or mention that is was sarcasm. Your posts in the past mentioned that you have nothing to hide. You still haven’t identified yourself. I want to know how many tickets you intend to buy. You said that a town like this could support it. Are you gonna support it?

EG

Reggie Hammond, New Sheriff

So what you are saying is that casual fans can't be interested in buying tickets? Do people have to be major corporations? I buy for my family when it is convenient to go. If they could get their act together, season tickets might be in order. I do have Komet season tickets.

You stated "I figured that meant that I would see you in line." When does the line start? I merely pointed out that phone numbers were disconnected and it doesn't look good for the Freedom this year.

It would be nice to cut through all the drama and put a decent product out there that would attract fans. As for who I am, don't read to much into it. I live and work in Fort Wayne.

jboss

Freedom,
Project "Ohio" is up and running!! I was in Fort Wayne yesterday picking up supplies and meant to stop by but I ran short on time. I may pop in mid next since I'll be picking up more stock - I LOVE POLITICS!

EG
Not money donations, tickets and such. Unless, its a donation to my, Over Worked Under Paid Minor League Football Fund.

Freedom

Congrats Jboss!!! Looking forward to hearing about it.
I'm glad you posted that today, it reminded me to pick up a case of foamboard in the morning... lol.

Happy Dog

"It would be nice to cut through all the drama...". Funny because that's all you've been since you started posting on here.

Peace out!

Freedom

From a reliable source:

Our 2009 indoor football team will play in the CIFL.

Bill Fahlsing and Mark Chappius will be attending
league meetings in Canton OH, sometime during
the next 30 days.

The team is close to hiring and announcing their
head coach for 2009.

Phone number to inquire about season tickets or
sponsorship is 260-704-5511.

Many core players from this season, including
some from the 2006 Fort Wayne Freedom have
expressed interest about playing for Fort Wayne.

Our FREE education system costs us a furtune.

That is all. Have a great weekend!

Reggie Hammond, New Sheriff

Drama- you're the one that's the drama queen. Just speak the truth and it will set you free. You live in some fantasy world Happy.

FirstDown

Casual fans are typically not as passionate about this as we are. That is why I wanted to know. Plus, I'm really trying to figure out why you are so stuck on the season ticket thing when you are classified as a casual fan. You are not going to buy them anyway.

EG

Freedom

With basically a new ownership group being assembled for 2009 there has been talk about changing up the name and/or logo. What do you think the team should do? I'll layout a few options here, and then if you could take a moment to add your thoughts or simply pick one.

1. Freedom (keep the same logos from 2008)
2. Freedom (redesign the 2008 logos)
3. Freedom (bring back the original 2003 logo)
4. Freedom (redesign the original 2003 logo)
5. Freedom (design a brand-new Freedom logo)
6. Start from scratch with a new name and logo.

Fusion wasn't added due to the fact AF2 owns the rights to it, and therefor it's not an option. The original logo is an option and could be used as is. Choosing a new name and logo is always a possibility. (obviously)

The only thing I am assuming is that the current logo was included with the purchase of the team and therefore can be used again this season. Please take a moment to share your thoughts or choice with the class.

Thank you,
